UAE Foreign Minister discusses Iranian attacks with global partners

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a series of phone calls with global counterparts to discuss the latest regional developments following Iranian missile attacks.

He spoke to officials from Jordan, Liechtenstein, Russia, Morocco, Egypt, Bahrain, Greece and Sweden, and focused on the serious implications of the attacks for regional security and stability, as well as their impact on the global economy and energy security.

During the calls, the ministers strongly condemned the attacks, describing them as a violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, and a direct threat to the sovereignty of states and regional stability.

They also affirmed the right of the affected countries to take the necessary measures to safeguard their sovereignty, territorial integrity and the safety of their citizens, residents and visitors in accordance with international law.

Sheikh Abdullah expressed appreciation for the solidarity and support shown by brotherly and friendly nations.

The talks also highlighted the importance of strengthening international cooperation and advancing diplomatic efforts to resolve the crisis and preserve regional stability.
