A new Education Support Fund has been set up in the UAE to encourage partnerships with the private and business sectors.
It’s been approved by the Cabinet, which has set aside around 15 per cent (AED 10.4 billion) of the federal budget (AED 61.35 billion) for 2020, towards education.
The fund aims to ensure the sustainability of educational development programmes in the country.
It will be managed by federal authorities and ministries, and will also be audited.
