The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICP) is urging the public to use only official channels when applying for services related to entry, residency or work in the UAE.
The authority has issued a warning against misleading advertisements from unauthorised offices and websites, especially those on social media, claiming to offer faster or easier services.
These entities are not approved and may charge excessive fees without legal basis.
All official services are available through the ICP's website, smart app and licensed service centres and typing offices across the country.
The authority also stressed that no special privileges have been granted to any third-party companies, and using them could put customers at legal and financial risk.
Officials are actively monitoring suspicious online activity and coordinating with legal authorities to take action against fraudulent practices.
