UAE airlifts aid supplies to victims in Albania

The UAE has airlifted supplies to victims of the Albania earthquake.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in collaboration with International Humanitarian City, organised the transportation of the relief items that included tents, medicine and other non-shelter items. 

The first aircraft, containing supplies for the Albanian Red Cross Society, arrived in Tirana on Sunday. 

The 6.4-magnitude earthquake claimed more than 50 lives, damaged critical infrastructure and left more than 12,000 people homeless.
