The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has announced early on Thursday that air defence systems are responding to missile and drone threats.
An alert was sent out at 7:09 am, with the authority urging the public to remain in a safe location and follow official channels for warnings and updates.
A second alert was sent out from the UAE at 7:55 am to assure the public that the "situation is currently safe" and to "resume normal activities while continuing to remain cautious and take necessary precautions".
