Sharjah Ruler meets UAE's first astronaut

The Ruler of Sharjah has met with the UAE's first astronaut.

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, welcomed Hazzaa Al Mansoori on Thursday morning at the Sharjah Academy of Astronomy, Space Sciences & Technology.

The first Emirati in space along with back-up astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi were given a tour of the facility by Sheikh Al Qasimi.

Al Mansoori made history earlier this year when he became the first Arab on the International Space Station (ISS).
