Ras Al Kaimah receives world's first Safeguard Assurance Label

Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority

Ras Al Khaimah has become the first city in the world to be certified as safe by Bureau Veritas.

That's according to the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA).

In addition to receiving the world's first 'Safeguard Assurance Label', it is also the first emirate to receive the 'Safe Travels Stamp' from the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC).

Both achievements recognise the heightened safety standards, training and hygiene protocols implemented across the emirate.

RAKTDA explained that the 'Safe Travels Stamp' is the first of its kind designed specifically to address COVID-19 and similar outbreaks.

This comes as the country prepares to resume travel and Ras Al Khaimah begins to welcome visitors once again.

The city's tourism authority has reassured the public that it follows the highest safety and hygiene measures in order to ensure people's safety.
