Pakistani Ambassador emphasises constructive engagement in UAE

Pakistani Ambassador to the UAE Faisal Niaz Tirmizi has encouraged Pakistani residents to be exemplary ambassadors of their country while abiding by local laws.

Speaking to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on the sidelines of the "Emirates Loves Pakistan" event marking Pakistan's 77th Independence Day, the diplomat urged Pakistanis residing in the UAE to respect the country's laws and develop their skills, acknowledging their significant contributions to the UAE's development.

He also expressed his admiration for the event's grandeur, stating, "This extraordinary celebration is a testament to the deep-rooted and enduring partnership between Pakistan and the UAE."

Ambassador Tirmizi added that UAE-Pakistan ties were firmly established by the visionary leadership of the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

The diplomat extended his gratitude to the Pakistan Association Dubai, Emirates Loves Pakistan, and the UAE Government Media Office for their support in organising the event. Ambassador Tirmizi concluded his remarks by congratulating Pakistani javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem on his historic victory at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The event, which drew a crowd of over 10,000 attendees representing diverse nationalities, showcased Pakistani culture, music, and cuisine.
