New 'lab on wheels' to offer medical care on-the-go

A laboratory-on-wheels, which can carry out 2,000 tests daily, is ready to be rolled out.

The fully equipped labs, which will also offer PCR tests, will be able to provide optimised diagnosis and tests on-the-go, with the aim to safeguard the health of the community.

The facility will be built in partnership with G42 Healthcare and biotech firm Seegene Inc.

The labs will be available across MENA, including the UAE, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Lebanon, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Yemen.

It will feature all essential equipment, IT and tech support for diagnostic testing, and can be made operational within few days.

Ashish Koshy, CEO of G42 Healthcare, highlighted how the labs will ensure "swift detection and allow patients to benefit from the most informed decision possible, regardless of the location".
