More than 13,700 motorists caught tailgating in Abu Dhabi

As many as 13,759 fines were handed out to motorists in Abu Dhabi during the first half of this year for tailgating.

The offenders were spotted by the smart systems and radars deployed by Abu Dhabi Police.

Officials said they will continue to increase surveillance on internal and external roads to keep an eye on violators.

As per the traffic law, tailgaters are fined AED 400 and slapped with four black points.
