The heavy rain and storms affecting the country since Sunday are forecast to continue on Wednesday, before reaching a peak on Thursday and overnight into Friday.
Rain of varying intensity fell across the UAE on Tuesday, with a range of heavy showers accompanied by thunder and lightning, particularly in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah.
Elsewhere, moderate to heavy rain fell in Khor Fakkan, Kalba, parts of Dubai, Dibba Fujairah, East Khor, Umm Al Qaiwain and Hatta.
The worst of the weather is forecast for Thursday, spreading from the west to cover most of the country overnight and into Friday, with hail, damaging wind gusts, a risk of flash flooding, and the chance of isolated tornadoes.
