Union Pledge Day is when "we renew our solidarity" to our nation, highlights His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai, in a video post on social media.
"Union Day... The day when the founders agree on the idea of the union... And the Constitution of the Union," Sheikh Mohammed wrote.
It's "the day (when) we renew our pledge to the homeland... and renew our solidarity to protect our gains... and build the future of the generations of the union".
وبناء مستقبل أجيال الاتحاد. pic.twitter.com/Xg27YhFJFd

The UAE marks Union Pledge Day on July 18, commemorating the Founding Fathers' signing of the Declaration of the Union and the Constitution in 1971— an historic milestone that launched a journey of development and progress.
The occasion honours the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the Founding Rulers, whose commitment to unity laid the foundations of the nation.
It also renews the country's pledge to uphold the values of loyalty, national unity and continued progress.
