H.H. Sheikh Mohammed approves key appointments, promotions in Dubai security sector

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has approved the promotion of 6,247 personnel across key law enforcement and public safety entities in Dubai.

These include the State Security Department in Dubai, Dubai Police, the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs, and Dubai Civil Defence.

In addition, His Highness issued Decree No. 34 of 2025 appointing Lieutenant General Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi as the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Civil Defence.

Major General Jamal bin Aded Al Muhairi has been named Deputy Commander-in-Chief, under Decision No. 26 of 2025.

Both appointments are effective immediately and will be published in the Official Gazette.
