H.H. Sheikh Hamdan joins thousands for epic Dubai Run

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum joined thousands of runners of all ages and abilities on Friday morning as Sheikh Zayed Road converted into a "giant running track".

A video posted on Dubai Sports Council's official Instagram account showed the Dubai Crown Prince jog along with a huge crowd for the Dubai Run.

Part of the annual Dubai Fitness Challenge, the 5K and 10K routes on the iconic Sheikh Zayed Road lets runners take in the spectacular view of the city's iconic buildings and structures.

In a Tweet, Sheikh Hamdan reported that 146,000 runners participated in the event.

Sheikh Hamdan also took to his own Instagram account to document his epic morning run with the inspirational message: "Let's do it."
