European Union condemns Houthi attack on UAE

WAM

The European Union has strongly condemned the Houthi militia's drone attack on a fuel tank storage facility in Abu Dhabi.

Peter Stano, Lead Spokesperson for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy at the EU, said "attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure are unacceptable".

He added that the latest incident increases the risk of further escalation of the Yemen conflict and undermines ongoing efforts to end the crisis.

"There can only be a political resolution to the conflict in Yemen. The EU calls for restraint to avoid further escalation," he said.
