Dubai's Crown Prince meets children of Civil Defence martyrs

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai's Crown Prince and Chairman of The Executive Council, paid tribute to civil defence personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty.

During his visit to the General Directorate of Dubai Civil Defence (DCD) on Thursday, Sheikh Hamdan met with the children of civil defence martyrs.

"Dubai will never forget their sacrifices. They are a source of immense pride for us all," said Sheikh Hamdan.

The children shared their pride in the legacy and sacrifice of their fathers in the service of the nation.

During his visit to the DCD headquarters, Sheikh Hamdan reviewed the strategic objectives and operational efficiencies that the department aims to achieve by 2026.

He took an appraisal of DCD’s plan of action to ensure future-readiness and lauded the services of DCD personnel in ensuring the highest levels of safety and security across Dubai.

His Highness was briefed on some of the critical transformative smart initiatives at Dubai Civil Defence and its primary performance metrics.

These include achievements in reducing fire-related incidents, fatalities and injuries per 100,000 individuals.
