Several flights out of Dubai Airport have been grounded after suspected drone activity.
In a statement sent to ARN News, Dubai Airports confirmed that flight departures from Dubai International were suspended between 10:13 am and 10:45 am on Friday.
The airport has resumed operations, but there are delays.
"Dubai Airports has worked closely with the appropriate authorities to ensure that the safety of airport operations is maintained at all times and to minimise any inconvenience to our customers," their spokesperson added.
Many passengers took to various social media platforms to report the delays.
Authorities warned that flying drones without obtaining permission is subject to legal liability as per UAE laws.
