DEWA wins two Global Innovation Awards

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has won two awards at the Global Innovation Awards 2024, organised by Enterprise Asia, to honour organisations that excel in innovative services, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and spreading the culture of innovation.

DEWA won the two awards in the Innovative Services and Solutions category for the ‘Automation Mechanism between Meter Data Management System and Meter Data Collector and Meter Usage through Corporate Services Bus’ initiative, and the ‘Comprehensive Repository and Portal for Corporate Engineering (Digital Infrastructure)’ initiative.


HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, ​​said that DEWA continues its innovation journey and strengthens its position as one of the most innovative and pioneering utilities in the world. He pointed out that DEWA’s strategy focuses on enabling a sustainable future for its customers and the communities it serves through innovation and technology, in line with the National Innovation Strategy.


The “Automation Mechanism between Meter Data Management System and Meter Data Collection System and Meter Uses through Corporate Services Bus” initiative contributes to improving the reliability and efficiency of transaction monitoring, reducing manual processes and human intervention, and ensuring smart response in real time.
