COVID-19: 4 outlets close as Dubai Municipality steps up inspections

Dubai Municipality is strengthening checks to make sure businesses are compliant with the COVID-19 precautionary measures, enforcing four closures during the latest inspections.

A total of 22 alerts were issued and three violations were recorded.

The closures included two International City fitness centres for overcrowding, and a food outlet in Al Barsha 1 for lack of physical distancing.

While a laundry in Al Souk Al Kabeer was shut down for violating health practice measures and the personal hygiene of employees.

Out of 2,202 inspections, 98 per cent of establishments were found to be compliant.
