Yemenis in Socotra Island are to receive much needed food and medical supplies from the UAE. The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation has dispatched a cargo plane carrying 75 tonnes of relief materials. The move was ordered by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. Since June, the foundation has operated 13 flights and sent two cargo ships to Yemen, carrying 7,000 tonnes of food and medicine.
