Women's World Cup: FIFA open disciplinary case against Cameroon

FIFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against Cameroon following their loss to England in the last-16 of the Women's World Cup.

The team protested VAR (video assistant referee) decisions on multiple occasions during the match in Valenciennes, which England won 3-0.

The protests began when reviews on off-side decisions gave England a 2-0 lead before halftime and then denied Cameroon a goal after the break.

At one point, it looked like Cameroon's players might refuse to continue playing.

World football's governing body is investigating allegations of team misconduct, offensive behaviour and fair play breaches.
