The UAE Jiu-Jitsu national team has won three gold medals and two silver at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
Khaled Al Shehhi successfully defended his men’s 62 kg title, beating fellow Emirati Omar Al Suwaidi in an all-UAE final. Al Suwaidi took silver.
Ahmed Andeez added another gold in the men’s 69 kg category.
In the women’s 48 kg final, Balqees Abdulla defeated compatriot Al Anoud Al Harbi to take gold, with Al Harbi earning silver.
That brings the UAE’s jiu-jitsu medal haul to five.
