The new year has brought new branding for one of 10 Formula 1 teams as Stake F1 Team was unveiled Monday with a commitment through 2025.
The Sauber rebranding to Stake is a new look for the former Alfa Romeo team, with drivers Zhou Guanyu and Valtteri Bottas set to return in 2024.
"Fueled by deep passion for speed, innovation, and pushing boundaries, we are now ideally positioned to take the team to unprecedented heights from 2024 and beyond," Stake co-founder Edward Craven said in a release.
Alfa Romeo-Ferrari finished ninth in the World Constructors' Championship standings last year. The Swiss outfit finished just above the United States' Haas-Ferrari.
Bottas finished 15th in the driver's standings, while Guanyu was 18th. Bottas' best finish was eighth, done twice, while Guanyu's best finish was ninth (three times).
The new Stake branding was expected to be revealed as Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber before the team unveiled a more streamlined approach. Stake is an entertainment and lifestyle company out of Australia that also is the jersey sponsor for Everton of the English Premier League.
