Dubai Marathon has partnered with Guinness World Records (GWR) to give runners a chance to set official global records during the upcoming race on February 1.

Under the global banner “Be Part Of It”, Dubai Marathon participants are invited to select and attempt eligible world records across approved distance categories.

The initiative does not stop at traditional race achievements, but also covers record attempts that include themed costumes, awareness-driven challenges, paired running formats, novelty endurance elements, and group participation, all assessed in line with GWR official guidelines.

Record concepts available at the marathon include the "fastest marathon completed by a father and son together" and the "fastest marathon completed by a mother and daughter together".

Additional slots also include records involving sporting equipment, blindfolded running, roller skating, formal and professional attire, and visually distinctive endurance challenges.

Applicants under the Dubai Marathon will be processed free of charge, with additional benefits including fast-tracked application reviews and immediate eligibility assessments.

Participation in any record attempt linked to fundraising activities requires prior written approval from an officially authorised UAE charitable entity, in accordance with national regulations.

The partnership also welcomes people of determination to join, with GWR offering dedicated impairment classification categories to ensure fair and consistent assessment of record attempts.

Participants can explore available record titles or propose new ones through the GWR website in Arabic or English via the dedicated registration page.

Registration for the Dubai Marathon is also available on their official website.
