The pressure is mounting on Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho, after yet another defeat in the EPL. Liverpool won 3-1 at Stamford Bridge, to leave the defending champions in 15th place in the table. That’s despite Chelsea getting off to a great start against their rivals, with Brazilian midfielder Ramires sending a thunderous header past Simon Mignolet after just three minutes. However, the visitors dominated proceedings from then on, and drew level in first-half stoppage time thanks to Philippe Coutinho’s left-footed effort from just outside the area, which flew into the top corner. With 15 minutes remaining, Coutinho then hit another impressive strike, this time with his right foot, to put the Reds ahead, before Christian Benteke secured the win ten minutes later, firing low and hard past Asmir Begovic. Meanwhile, Manchester City remain top after a hard-fought 2-1 win over Norwich, Yaya Toure’s late penalty giving them the win after Cameron Jerome had cancelled out Nicolas Otamendi’s opener. Second-place Arsenal remain level on points with the Citizens following a 3-0 victory at Swansea, with Olivier Giroud, Laurent Koscielny and Joel Campbell getting the Gunners goals, whilst Manchester United are fourth after a goalless draw at Crystal Palace. High-flying Leicester City leap-frogged Louis van Gaal’s men into third, after another comeback, winning 3-2 at West Brom. Elsewhere, Watford beat West Ham 2-0 thanks to a brace from Odion Ighalo, and Newcastle against Stoke ended goalless.
