Lorena Wiebes (Team SD Worx) won Stage 2 of the inaugural edition of the UAE Tour Women, ahead of Charlotte Kool and Pfeiffer Georgi.
The 23-year-old Dutch rider is the new Red Jersey holder and leads the General Classification.
"I’m feeling great now! Today was a tough stage, very windy and with crosswinds, we went full gas from the start until the finish line. My teammates did a great job, we showed we are a strong team with a great lead out. Tomorrow I hope I can help Anna Shackley as much as possible," Wiebes said after the stage finish.
Kool, the winner on Thursday, crossed the line second, with Team DSM teammate Georgi Pfeiffer third.
Starting at Al Dhafra Castle, the Al Marina Holding Stage covered 133 km through the Abu Dhabi desert. The first half went roughly from east to west before the course turned north towards the finish in Al Mirfa.
