India crush South Africa to clean sweep Test series

India have wrapped up the Test series against South Africa with a 3-0 whitewash.

Virat Kohli’s men won the third and final Test in Ranchi by an innings and 202 runs.

The visitors, who started day 4 on 132- 8 were dismissed for 133 in the second innings.

Shahbaz Nadeem, who took 2-22 in the first innings, picked up the wickets of Theunis de Bruyn and Lungi Ngidi off consecutive deliveries in his first over of the day to secure the win for India.

South Africa were forced to follow on after being bundled out for 162 runs in their first innings on Monday. 

Since losing to England in December 2012, India have won 12 Test series at home.
