Great Britain storm to Davis Cup final

NULL

Andy Murray fired Great Britain to a first Davis Cup final in 37 years. The world number three secured the victory over Australia with a 7-5 6-3 6-2 win over Bernard Tomic. It gave Britain an unassailable 3-1 lead, meaning Thanasi Kokkinakis’ win over Dan Evan (7-5 6-4) in the final match was merely a consolation for the Australian team. Belgium await in the final at the end of November, after they overcame Argentina. Great Britain haven’t won the Davis Cup since they were led to victory by Fred Perry in 1938, whilst it will be Belgium’s first final in 111 years.
