Grand Slam winner Emma Raducanu will compete at this year’s Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open after being awarded the final wildcard spot for the qualifiers.
Fans can catch the British tennis star in action on the opening day of the tournament, which will be free to attend.
The WTA 500 event returns to the International Tennis Centre at Zayed Sports City for its third edition, from February 1-8, bringing some of the world’s top female players to the UAE capital.
Raducanu, who won the US Open in 2021, will return to Abu Dhabi for the second consecutive year. Last year, the 22-year-old impressed fans with a strong performance, making it to the Round of 16.
Joining Raducanu in Abu Dhabi will be the likes of reigning champion Elena Rybakina, three-time Grand Slam finalist Ons Jabeur, Australian Open semi-finalist Paula Badosa, and last year’s finalist Daria Kasatkina.
