Shimron Hetmyer's unbeaten 28 helped Delhi Capitals win against the Chennai Super Kings and move one step closer to a top-two finish.
The match was held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant came up against his mentor in MS Dhoni during the top of the table clash.
Pant won the toss and opted to bowl, but when Ian Bishop asked Pant how he felt to play against his mentor, the DC captain responded by saying: "Always great learning from him (MS Dhoni), but right now he's a rival, so focus is on the game," Pant said.
Shikhar Dhawan kept momentum for much of the innings but fell for 39 in a double-wicket over from Shardul Thakur.
Robin Uthappa came in at number three on his Super Kings debut after replacing the injured Suresh Raina, but couldn't leave a mark.
