A gold dress valued at AED5 million and recognised by Guinness World Records as the world's most expensive gold dress has gone on display at the Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show in Sharjah.
The dress, created by UAE-based Al Romaizan Gold and Jewellery, weighs more than 10 kilogrammes and is made from 21-carat gold. It is one of the headline attractions at the 57th edition of the exhibition, which has brought together leading jewellery brands and designers from across the region.
The event is showcasing a range of exclusive collections, record-breaking creations and new luxury designs aimed at high-end buyers and collectors.
Among the other highlights is the launch of Salem Al-Shueibi Jewellery's new "Aura Mosa" collection, created in collaboration with Emirati designer Shamma Al Hallami. The company is also displaying more than 500 new diamond designs and pieces from its "Sheikha Hind" collection.
Arabian Gold & Diamond is exhibiting several Guinness World Record-holding creations, including the "Union Frame", which incorporates landmarks from all seven emirates, as well as the world's largest mirror and largest "Mertasha" jewellery piece.
Meanwhile, Jawhara Jewellery is presenting a selection of diamond, pearl and gemstone collections, including its "Palm" range featuring 18-carat gold, natural diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires. The company is also showcasing one-of-a-kind bridal sets designed for customers seeking bespoke luxury pieces.
The Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show is one of the region's largest jewellery exhibitions, attracting manufacturers, retailers, collectors and luxury buyers from around the world.
