Two Kenyan children have fulfilled their dream of visiting Dubai following a personal invitation earlier this month from His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence.
In a post on social media, Sheikh Hamdan said he was delighted to see the joy of Milan and Christopher during their visit to the emirate, adding that he hoped they would take home wonderful memories from the trip.
The story began at the start of May, when a video shared by Kenyan content creator Maria Nyambane showed her son Milan in tears as he spoke about his dream of visiting Dubai, which he described as a 'planet'.
The clip quickly gained global attention online. Sheikh Hamdan later reposted the video, inviting the family to visit Dubai.
The family has since arrived in the emirate, during which Milan and Christopher, accompanied by their family, visited some of Dubai’s most popular attractions.
