The shortlist for the Hamdan Flag, Best Pioneering Initiative, and Best Digital City Experience Awards by The Hamdan bin Mohammed Programme for Government Services, part of the General Secretariat of The Executive Council of Dubai have been announced.
The programme aligns with Dubai’s vision for integrated government services under the 360 Services policy. The policy seeks to automate all public services, integrate 90 per cent of them and remove the need for in-person visits for 90 per cent of services.
Shortlisted from a pool of 27 contenders, the nine entities recognised from the Government of Dubai as finalists for the Hamdan Flag have embedded the 360 Services policy to improve, personalise and digitalise public services.
The nine entities are the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), the Community Development Authority (CDA), the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai (GDRFA), the Dubai Municipality, the Dubai Police, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DEET), Dubai Customs, and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MBRHE).
Eight initiatives have been shortlisted for the best Pioneering Initiative award, highlighting excellence in digital transformation, efficiency, and service enhancement. Additionally, four initiatives have been selected for the Best Digital City Experience award (by Dubai Digital Authority), recognising transformative digital solutions.
All entries were evaluated by international experts using five key criteria: impact, adoption of a whole-of-government approach, creativity and innovation, service culture, and sustainability of results.
