Dubai’s Museum of the Future reaches five million visitors since opening

Dubai’s Museum of the Future has attracted nearly five million visitors since opening in February 2022, according to officials, marking four years since the landmark attraction launched.

The museum said the figure reflects growing international interest, with visitors from around the world attending exhibitions, events and educational programmes focused on science, technology and future innovation.

Since opening, the venue has hosted more than 620 events, conferences and talks, covering themes such as artificial intelligence, sustainable cities, education and the future of work. It has also run more than 220 workshops and educational programmes aimed at students, professionals and researchers.

In 2025 alone, the museum welcomed nine heads of state and dozens of ministers as part of official visits and delegations, reinforcing its role as a venue for international dialogue and policy discussions.

The attraction, located on Sheikh Zayed Road, has also become a hub for major initiatives including the Dubai Future Forum and the Future Talks series, bringing together global experts to discuss emerging challenges and innovation.

During the World Governments Summit earlier this year, officials announced that the museum would become the permanent home of the World Preservation Lab and BioVault, a biotechnology-focused project developed in partnership with US-based company Colossal Biosciences.

The building itself has become one of Dubai’s most recognisable structures, standing 77 metres high and featuring an exterior covered in Arabic calligraphy. More than 30 per cent of its energy needs are met through solar power, and the museum received LEED Platinum certification for sustainable design in 2023.

The Museum of the Future opened on February 22, 2022 and has grown into one of Dubai’s most visited cultural and technology-focused destinations.

Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Chairman of the Museum of the Future, affirmed that Dubai and the United Arab Emirates have made designing the future a shared global goal, uniting the world to create a better tomorrow by leveraging present and future opportunities, serving communities and ensuring the best for future generations.
