Dubai Police has rolled out its newest recruit — a fully autonomous robotic patrol — marking a major milestone in smart policing.
Unveiled at GITEX Global 2025, the self-driving unit named 'DPR 02' will officially begin duty on Wednesday at Global Village.
Equipped with AI-powered navigation, 360-degree surveillance and advanced sensors, 'DPR 02' is designed to enhance security coverage and support officers with real-time data for faster decision-making.
Connected directly to the Command and Control Centre, the robotic patrol ensures rapid response and full situational awareness across high-traffic areas.
Senior Dubai Police officials, alongside strategic tech partner Micropolis, confirmed the rollout as part of the city’s mission to build a smarter, safer and more connected future.
With 'DPR 02', Dubai continues to lead the way in intelligent policing — blending innovation with community-focused security.
