The 10th edition of the Al Salam Cycling Championship kicks off this Sunday, December 28, with the Emirati Men’s Amateur Race.
Organized by the Private Office of His Highness the Ruler of Dubai, the race runs under the theme 'Security and Safety' and covers 158 km, starting at the Dubai Police Academy and finishing at Al Marmoom Conservation Reserve in Saih Al Salam.
Four major races are planned, including the Elite Race on January 18, the Women’s Race on January 25, and the Desert Race on February 1.
The event has seen strong registration, reinforcing its status as the world’s largest community cycling race in terms of diversity and prize value.
A photography competition, in collaboration with the Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA), is also open for entries to capture the spirit of the championship and Dubai’s scenic landscapes.
