Designers, architects and creative professionals from more than 50 countries have gathered in Dubai for the 12th edition of Dubai Design Week.

Running until November 8 at Dubai Design District (d3), the festival features more than 40 installations, exhibitions and public activations, alongside talks, workshops and industry events exploring design, innovation and cultural heritage.

The event was inaugurated by Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.

"Over the years, Dubai Design Week has played an important role in strengthening Dubai’s design sector, bringing together creative talent, industry leaders and new perspectives while creating opportunities for ideas to develop and flourish," said Sheikha Latifa.

"Its impact is reflected in the success of emerging designers, the collaborations it has inspired and the creative ventures that have gained visibility and opportunities to grow through successive editions," she added.

The festival aims to support the growth of Dubai's creative economy while connecting regional talent with international audiences.

Its programme spans architecture, interiors, furniture, product design and contemporary craft.

Highlights include Downtown Design, featuring more than 300 brands and designers from over 35 countries, as well as exhibitions showcasing UAE-based creatives and emerging design talent.
