Design Commission Abu Dhabi and Emirates Post have launched a nationwide competition inviting UAE citizens and residents to submit designs for the official Eid Al Etihad 55 commemorative postage stamp.

The competition is open to professional and emerging creatives, as well as university students, with designs encouraged to reflect the UAE’s people, culture, heritage, innovation and future ambitions.

Submissions will be accepted until October 7, and three entries will be selected as finalists, with the winning design announced on November 3.

Each applicant may submit one entry comprising a minimum of three and a maximum of six designs, all based on a consistent theme.

Entries must be accompanied by the story or concept behind the work.

Emirates Post will finalise the design’s development, production and issuance as the official Eid Al Etihad 55 commemorative stamp, with the three finalists receiving cash prizes of AED 10,000 for first place, AED 7,000 for second place and AED 3,000 for third place.
