Abu Dhabi Police has launched a next-generation autonomous patrol vehicle at GITEX Global 2024, in partnership with the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council.
The initiative is part of the force's strategy to integrate advanced technology to boost road safety and enhance security coverage across the emirate.
The newly launched autonomous patrol vehicle is designed to improve security coverage, particularly in residential areas and off-road environments. It facilitates remote operational capabilities using integrated wireless communication that links with surveillance drones.
The vehicle also features a fully reconfigurable internal structure that can be adapted to suit a variety of operational needs. In addition, the vehicle is equipped with AI technologies that enable it to process voice, data, video and behaviour monitoring, elevating its effectiveness in maintaining public safety.
The launch underscores Abu Dhabi Police's commitment to adopting AI-driven solutions to enhance security operations, particularly in areas where enhanced monitoring and rapid response are crucial.
