Thousands of people have been evacuated from a New Zealand town as a forest fire threatened the area.
The blaze, which is believed to have started by sparks from farm equipment, is now spreading from the city of Nelson to the town of Wakefield on the South Island.
Authorities said it could take between four to five days before the fire is contained.
They've opened up a sports stadium as a welfare centre to accommodate those who didn't have friends or family to stay with.
