S. Korea passes bill to fight fine dust, brands it 'social disaster'

South Korean lawmakers have passed a bill that designates fine dust as a "social disaster", allowing the government to unlock emergency funds to tackle the issue.

This comes after record levels of fine dust blanketed most of the country in recent weeks, with the government under immense pressure to take action.
