After much speculation, Indian opposition leader Rahul Gandhi has confirmed he will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Kerala's Wayanad.
Rahul will contest two constituencies, with the Indian National Congress party naming him as a candidate from Amethi in Uttar Pradesh as well.
Making the official announcement, senior party leader AK Antony said he will act as a bridge between North and South India.
He has followed the footsteps of his grandmother Indira Gandhi who made a post-Emergency comeback from Chickmagalur in Karnataka in 1978.
