A man has died after being mauled to death by a lion he kept at his home in Czech Republic.
Michal Prasek kept the nine-year-old male for breeding with a lioness, which he also owned and had on his property.
Police said they shot both animals in order to retrieve the body.
According to reports, the man bought the male lion in Slovakia in 2016 and the lioness last year, but did not have a permit to keep them.
