Kenyan Finance Minister Henry Rotich has been summoned for a second time over a multi-million dollar scandal involving advance payments for two dam projects.
This comes just days after the head of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) announced a probe into the fraudulent construction of the Arror and Kimwarer dams - valued at 63 billion shillings (around $629 million).
According to reports, some of the payments had already been made despite the dams not being built.
In a statement published earlier, Rotich said up to 19.8 billion shillings ($198 million) had been paid in advance to various firms for in accordance with the law.
