A massive manhunt has been launched in Japan after a police officer was stabbed several times and his loaded handgun stolen while on patrol.
According to reports, a kitchen knife was found next to the officer's wounded body.
Police suspect the attack may have been pre-meditated as there was no theft and CCTV footage showed a man hanging around the police box about an hour before the incident unfolded.
