Canada has banned the import and export of shark fins.
It's the first G20 country to take the step.
Canada is the largest importer of shark fins outside Asia.
The move has been made in a bid to preserve global shark populations.
Shark finning is the process of chopping off the valuable fin of a shark while it's still alive.
The rest of the body is then discarded.
Fins are used in seafood and its meat is considered as a delicacy.
