A court in Bahrain has sentenced nine people to life and two others to three years in jail for collaborating with Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to carry out "hostile and terrorist acts" against Bahrain.
In a statement, the state news agency said the defendants were involved in gathering information on sensitive sites and facilitating related financial transfers.
During interrogations, the defendants admitted to supplying the IRGC with data and information.
The prosecution had also commissioned technical experts to examine the seized electronic devices, alongside hearing witness testimonies.
The suspects were referred to the high criminal court, where the verdicts were decided in accordance with the necessary legal procedures.
