Three cabinet ministers have publicly warned that Brexit should be delayed if Parliament does not approve a deal in the next few days.
Amber Rudd, Greg Clark and David Gauke made the comments to local media ahead of crucial votes in the Commons,
They said time was running out and that breakthrough in negotiations was needed sooner rather than later.
In a scathing response, Downing Street said their views on a no deal Brexit were "scarcely a secret".
"The PM is working hard to ensure we get a deal with the EU that allows us to deliver on the result of the referendum," it said in a statement.
