The Rolling Stones postponed a concert on Monday in Amsterdam after lead singer Mick Jagger tested positive for COVID-19, the band said in a statement.

"The Rolling Stones are deeply sorry for tonight’s postponement, but the safety of the audience, fellow musicians and the touring crew has to take priority," they said.

Monday's show was part of the group's 'Stones Sixty Europe 2022 Tour', to mark their 60th anniversary.

Called "SIXTY", the 14-show tour kicked off in Madrid on June 1 with stops scheduled in ten countries in total.

The Stones, who wrapped up the North American leg of their "No Filter" tour in November, are also due to play in Bern, Milan, Brussels, Vienna London and Stockholm.
