Robbie Coltrane, who played Hagrid in the Harry Potter films, has died at the age of 72.
Britain's PA Media reported the new on Friday, citing his agent.
The Scottish-born actor has also starred in James Bond films.
He is best known for playing the Hogwarts gamekeeper Hagrid in the Harry Potter movies and criminal psychologist Dr. Eddie 'Fitz' Fitzgerald in crime drama Cracker.
Coltrane was awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE) by Queen Elizabeth II in 2006.
